We believe it’s the combination of high-quality producers, a strong sense of community and a welcoming atmosphere. Many of our traders return month after month, building lasting relationships with customers over time.

Moseley Farmers’ Market has won multiple national awards and has been recognised as one of the UK’s leading farmers’ markets. We are proud of the producers and volunteers who make this possible.

Moseley Farmers’ Market takes place on the last Saturday of every month apart from the Christmas market which is held on the Saturday before the 25th of December

The market runs from 9am until 2pm. Early visitors enjoy the widest selection, though there’s usually plenty to discover throughout the morning.

Our Christmas Market usually takes place in December on the last Saturday before Christmas and is often larger than our regular monthly market, with additional festive traders and seasonal produce. The exact date is announced each year on our website and social media channels.

The market is held in Moseley Village, centred around the Village Green. Its location makes it easy to combine your visit with one of the surrounding cafés, shops or pubs. Use the post code B13 8HW.

There is on-street parking around Moseley Village and several nearby car parks. The village can get busy on market mornings, so walking, cycling or using public transport is encouraged where possible. Use the post code B13 8HW.

The market is at ground level and suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Some areas may become crowded at peak times, but volunteers are always happy to assist.

Many stallholders accept card payments, but some may be cash only. Bringing a small amount of cash can be helpful.

Produce must be reared or grown within 50 miles of Moseley. If it’s processed it must contain a high percentage of local ingredients from known sources.

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the open market area. Individual stallholders may have specific hygiene restrictions around food displays.

Stalls vary seasonally but typically include fresh fruit and vegetables, artisan bread, cakes, cheese, meat, eggs, preserves, honey, plants and ready-to-eat street food. The mix changes throughout the year as produce comes into season.

Yes — we welcome applications from producers who grow, rear, bake or make their own products. All traders must meet our farmers’ market criteria to ensure quality and authenticity.

If you are interested in trading, please visit our “Join the Market” page and complete the application form. Spaces are limited, and suitable applicants may be placed on a waiting list.

The focus of the market is on food and produce. We occasionally consider craft applications where they align with the ethos of the market, but priority is given to food producers.

Applications are reviewed to ensure traders meet our criteria around authenticity, quality and sustainability. We aim to maintain a balanced mix of produce so the market remains varied and vibrant.

Yes — we are always pleased to hear from people who would like to get involved. Volunteers help with setup, stewarding and supporting the smooth running of the day. It’s a great way to be part of the community.

The market is run by a small volunteer committee made up of local residents who are passionate about supporting independent producers and maintaining the integrity of a true farmers’ market. Moseley Farmers’ Market is a Community Interest Company run by the directors and support crew.
